- Brett Haley
Brett Haley is currently working as a professional filmmaker in Brooklyn, NY. Since graduating from the North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in film directing, Brett's student film, SECONDS, has gone on to win the Golden Eagle Award at the Cine Film Festival in Washington, D.C. and has been featured in eight other festivals, including the RiverRun Film Festival and the Toronto Short Film Festival. While in college he prodcuced and directed the feature film, TELL EVERYONE, in 2002. TELL EVERYONE went on to win Top 5 at the DV Film Festival in Los Angeles and was an official selection at the RiverRun Film Festival.
- After graduating, Brett directed the non-profit video, IMMIGRATION COURT, executive produced by Doug Liman (Swingers, The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith). He was also the First Assistant Director on the feature film, THE BEACH PARTY AT THE THRESHOLD OF HELL. After moving to Brooklyn, Brett worked on the feature film, RESERVATION ROAD, as the assistant to writer/director Terry George (Hotel Rwanda). The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Connelly. Brett also directed a commercial for the novel, THEN WE CAME TO THE END, which was recently nominated for a National Book Award.
- W. Scott Peake
W. Scott Peake born March 13, 1965 in Mountain View, California received his MFA from the Florida State University Film School in 1993. In Scott’s final year at FSU he was chosen to direct one of the five thesis films the film school produced that year. During his last semester Scott was offered an internship at W.B. Doner advertising in Southfield, Michigan. Upon graduation Scott was the first intern in Doner’s history to be offered a full time job as a Producer. While at Doner, Scott started to build his reel directing several campaigns for the Detroit Zoo and the Michigan Humane Society. His spot, “Zoo Cruise”, went on to win several awards, including a Clio and named as one of Ad Ages 100 best for that year.
- Scott soon left Doner and was snapped up by BBDO/Detroit to work on the Dodge account. Due to the nature of the Dodge campaigns Scott has become very knowledgeable in special effects and post-production. This knowledge has become extremely valuable in Scott’s approach to directing.
- Scott left BBDO and moved to Los Angeles in the fall of 1996. While building his directing reel, Scott freelanced at Ogilvy & Mather/ Detroit and Chiat/Day.
- In January of ’99 Scott signed with the now defunct Elsewhere Films for commercial and music video representation.
- In the summer of 2001 Scott signed with Mindfield Pictures for commercial representation.
- George Reasner - Director Photography
In the film business since 1989, George progressed to full-time shooter after working his way up through the grip, electric and camera departments on independent features. He has photographed numerous commercial and music video projects, as well as features and dozens of short films. His commercial and short films have won multiple awards including the Clio, Gold Lion, Advertising Age Best Of, AMPAS Student Emmy and multiple film festivals nods.
- George recently co-produced and photographed a feature-length documentary about the dance music scene called, “Liquid Vinyl, ” which premiered at the 2005 Slamdance Film Festival. Later that year, the film won Best Documentary at the 2005 Pensacola International Film Festival, and will be distributed by 7th Arts Releasing. Also in 2005, George won Best Cinematography Award for the digital short film, “Into The Maelstrom”. It was written, shot and edited over 3 days for the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Festival. George is currently directing and shooting another documentary entitled, “Banana Prophets” and he recently completed post production on the feature film PERMANENT VACATION for director Scott Peake. George's next feature, BARE KNUCKLES for director Eric Etebari, completed principal photography in the summer of 2007.
- George holds an M.F.A. in producing & cinematography from the Florida State University Film & TV Conservatory, and a B.A. in Communications from Wake Forest University. He is currently living the dream in Hollywood, CA.
- David Dyster
David graduated from Pensacola Junior College in the Fall of 2001 and immediately moved to Colorado, where he spent the next four years traveling. It was during this time that david discovered that he had a different perspective of seeing things and wanted to become a filmmaker. Moving back to Pensacola, he started at The University of West Florida in the fall of 2005 and will graduate this fall with a Telecomm/Film Bachelor's Degree. His future goals are to get into NYU, Columbia, or USC's Graduate film program to further hone his craft, and is nearing completion on a script for which he would would like to create a full-length feature prior to doing any graduate level work.
- Quinton and Ian Williams
- Brothers Quinton and Ian Williams have been creating short films and skits together since 1998. Quinton Williams attended Pensacola Junior College for two
years and received his A.A. degree in general studies. He then attended the University of West Florida where he received his Bachelor's degree in Film and
Telecommunications in the Spring of 2007. Ian Williams is currently attending Pensacola Junior College to receive his A.A. degree before also attending the
University of West Florida to study Film. The two brothers recently started creating online content over the past year and launched their official website
www.pixiesproductioninc.com in the summer of 2007. The two brothers plan to continue making online videos, skits, and short films, following in the tradition they started 9 years ago- writing, acting in, shooting, and editing everything themselves.
- Kristin Wernicke
Kristin Wernicke is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and media educator. Most recently, she worked as the associate producer on "Lillie & Leander:
A Legacy of Violence", a film documenting racist violence in early 20th century Northwest Florida which
premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in May 2007. Previously, she co-directed and co-produced, "Cuban Lynx", a documentary on a spoken word exchange between
poets in Chicago, Illinois and Havana, Cuba. In 2000, she co-produced "The Glen of the Downs", a feature documentary about an environmental protest in Ireland.
Kristin graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television Production and is currently a graduate student in The
Documenatry Institute program within the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida.
- Jon Anderson writer/director
- A native of Miami, Florida, Jon Anderson currently teaches in Orlando at Valencia Community College in their award-winning Film Production Technology Program. Anderson is also a product of Valencia's film program, having graduated in 1992 with fellow classmates and noted filmmakers Gregg Hale ( Blair Witch Project), Ben Rock ( Meeting Mr. Subian), Chad Sahley (When Stand Up Stood Out) and Silver Wings producer/editor David Brame. In addition to teaching, Anderson works in Central and South Florida as a freelance filmmaker and photographer.
- Silver Wings & Civil Rights: The Fight to Fly is Jon Anderson's first feature. He was inspired to make his documentary after visiting with one of the original Tuskegee Airmen he befriended in 1998. He was intrigued with the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and set out in 1998 collecting interviews from original airmen, beginning first with airmen living in Florida and then interviewing airmen from around the country. Throughout the interview process, Anderson shot reenactments of the airmen's stories in collaboration with Valencia's Film Production Technology Program.
